Sustainable Rubber
We are working hard to ensure that the natural rubber we use with our Rain Boots has been sourced responsibly, with respect for human rights, animal welfare and the environment.

Crywolf Rain Boots have been are hand-crafted from rubber tapped from the Hevea tree, which can produce rubber for 30 years. This is a natural vegan material that is waterproof, flexible and comfortable to wear. The rubber we use on our Rain Boots has been sourced from plantations in Vietnam.
The worldwide movement of sustainable rubber and how this can be defined only started a few years ago. So, as international guidelines around sustainability become more clearly been defined (so it is clear what the plantations and producers have to follow), by engaging various environmental groups and with the support of our manufacturers, we are continuing to learn more about sustainability and how we can do better.

At Crywolf we have been dedicated to produce a high quality Rain Boot that can last many years and be passed down to siblings. This in itself reduces landfill waste and is better for the environment. To ensure our products meet our high standards we use independent quality assurance company Intertek for product testing and certification.

Increasingly we are being asked if our Rain Boots are are vegan. Due to our commitment to use natural rubber, our Rain Boots are in fact vegan and do not include animal products or by-products within the materials used for our boots or during the manufacturing process.
We have recently applied for certification from PETA that our products are animal free and our manufacturer is supporting us in this process. PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) is the largest animal rights organization in the world, with more than 6.5 million members and supporters. More information coming soon!
